Malik Zulu Shabazz, the former head of the New Black Panther Party, spoke on Black Power Radio stressing followers need to get prepared to defend themselves with the coming wave of cop killings they’ll be blamed for. Shabazz stresses that since cops are “killing us[blacks]” they have inspired people (NBPP has no affiliation with) to retaliate against the police which will result in more violence committed against blacks. This paradox of killing is of course all because “America won’t do justice to black people”. Now while on the surface one could argue he has a point after all the recent deaths and high-profile cases but when you look deeper you realize he is leaving something out… It would have been nice if Shabazz, now president of Black Lawyers for Justice, pointed out those who have been killed or died by police were committing crimes resulting in their deaths! Eric Garner would be alive today had he not broken the law selling “loosies” and then resisting arrest while in poor health.
